Garden maintenance prices in Medway

Garden size alone does not tell the whole story. We price the agreed work as a job, taking account of its condition, access, time and waste removal. This guide explains what to include when asking Tranquility Group Ltd for a quote.

Planning your service

What affects the cost of a gardener?

The work and current condition

A maintained lawn with clear access is different from an overgrown garden with long grass and full borders. Tell us what needs doing first and what you would like maintained afterwards. The initial tidy-up may cost differently from repeat visits.

Size, access and time

Lawn area, hedge height and length, steps and narrow gates all affect the work. Access through a house or a long distance to the vehicle can add handling time. Photographs of the approach are as useful as photos of the garden.

Waste and materials

Clippings, hedge cuttings and existing green waste need to be accounted for. Specify whether waste should be removed or can remain in an agreed place. Plants, seed and other materials are identified separately where relevant to the work.

Regular garden maintenance

Ask which tasks are included at each visit, how often visits are planned and how seasonal work is handled. A lower price may cover mowing only, while another includes edging, weeding or waste removal. Compare the scope as well as the amount.

One-off tidy-ups and specialist work

Describe the end result you want and any priorities. Hedge reductions, lawn renovation and patio cleaning involve different work from a routine garden visit. Ask for those items to be clearly identified if you want a combined quote.

Why there is no fixed price list

We do not publish a universal hourly rate or starting price on this page because gardens and job requirements vary. Send the details for a tailored quotation. Any applicable tax, materials and waste charges should be clear in the written total before you accept.

Send four things

Share your postcode, clear photos, approximate dimensions and the tasks you want completed. Tell us whether this is a one-off job or regular maintenance and mention access restrictions. We will confirm if a site visit is needed.

Local coverage

We welcome garden enquiries across Medway, including Chatham, Rochester, Strood, Gillingham and Rainham. Wider Kent coverage includes Swale and Maidstone. Location and scheduling are considered when arranging the work.

Questions before booking

Do you charge by the hour?

Our garden quotations are based on the agreed job and scope. Ask for a written quotation showing what is included rather than relying on a general hourly estimate.

Will regular visits cost the same as the first tidy-up?

Not necessarily. Bringing an overgrown garden under control may require more time and waste removal than maintaining it afterwards.

Can I choose only the tasks I need?

Yes. Tell us your priorities so the quotation can reflect the requested work. Extra tasks should be agreed before they are carried out.
